Your DIAGNOSIS is in and it’s official your DNA reveals you are…

7

The Dreamer

…which means you have big lofty dreams for your future and you can picture what success looks like, in fact you can almost taste it, but fear of failure is stopping you, it’s ingrained into your dna.

You have moments of absolute clarity where you know the ideas you have can be realized and bring you the money and success you know you want and deserve. In those moments you dare to dream and dare to believe that anything is possible.

Your heart is brimming with enthusiasm, passion and ideas. And in your head, in that hidden place that nobody else can see or find, you know you can achieve literally anything. You’re invincible and nothing will stop you.

BUT…then the thought of taking a risk is scary and imposter syndrome begins to creep in on a regular basis making you question everything. That little voice in your head is constantly whispering in your ear that you’re just not good enough.

Understanding your Entrepreneurial DNA and your own unique natural wiring are the pieces of the puzzle that will allow you to align with your purpose, who you are on the inside and how you want to feel about the work you’re doing.

Your Genetic Code as a Dreamer

Vision

Your vision allows you to really explore your ideas at a much deeper level and see them from every angle. The key is to have the courage, strength and proper support in place to bring your vision to life.

Creativity

Creativity is where you shine, your secret weapon. Ideas flow from you like water and you love nothing better than to close your eyes and imagine those ideas being realized.

Sensitivity

Clients are drawn to you like a magnet. You have a wonderful combination of empathy and sensitivity. It shines through in your enthusiasm and love for everything you do.

And now for a word or two of caution….

As a Dreamer you're more of an ideas person than an implementer. But to really move forward in your business you need to stop dreaming and start doing.

While a fear of failure is natural for everyone you have to be careful not to let this dictate your future and debilitate you. When you overcome your oftentimes irrational fears, success won't be far behind.

You'll find every excuse under the sun not to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable. But success doesn't come from comfort zones, sometimes you have to go beyond and get a little uncomfortable.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world.”

– Harriet Tubman

Ready to wave goodbye to confusion and say hello to clarity?

I hope so….

….but before we do it’s also important to acknowledge that for some people, you being one of them, it’s your dreams that allow your world to keep spinning. They’re your bread and butter and you rely on them to inspire and motivate you. In the same way that we need air to breathe, you need your dreams to survive.

And let’s face it, dreams are at the essence of everyone. We all have dreams. In fact, one of the most iconic movies from the 90s, Pretty Woman, started with the line, “What’s your dream? Everybody comes here; this is Hollywood, the land of dreams. Some dreams come true, some don’t; but keep on dreamin’ – this is Hollywood.
The important thing here isn’t about having a dream, it’s what you do with that dream. How you take it from being just a dream and turn it into a reality. Realizing your dream and bringing it to life is the difference between those who are successful and those who aren’t.

And that all starts with your mindset.

The power of positivity is at play here. If you don’t believe in your big dream then neither will anyone else. It doesn’t matter how big it is or how insurmountable it feels . You have to subscribe to the school of certainty. It’s not about if, it’s about when. When you start to believe in yourself, trusting yourself, that’s when your whole perspective shifts and it’ll only be a matter of time before your big dream becomes a reality and that possibility becomes a certainty.

Close your eyes for a minute and imagine what life would look like if your dream came true. How would it make you feel? Where would you be? What would you be doing? Visualization is a powerful tool. On its own it won’t make your dream a reality but it’s a great place to start.

And for a more practical tip, something I find works really well, is to put a time frame on it. Decide on what actionable steps you need to take and assign some dates to them to hold yourself accountable.

Any of these inner monologues sound familiar?

9

What if I fail and it doesn’t work out the way I thought it would?

9

What if the reality isn’t as good as the dream in my head?

9

What if I don’t know what to do and it all goes wrong?

9

What if nobody believes in my idea and I get no support?

9

Wouldn't it be better if I just kept it as a dream? That way I won't be disappointed.

Say hello to your fellow Dreamer…

Demi Lovato put it out there on twitter, back in 2010, that one day she would sing the national anthem at a super bowl. and a decade later that’s exactly what she did.

And when she took to Instagram after the event she captioned her Insta post: “Dreams really do come true y’all”.
But it doesn’t stop there, in 2009 she tweeted about her goal to meet Britney Spears and sure enough, in 2012 she not only met Britney but worked with her on X Factor.

There’s no disputing the fact that Demi is a BIG dreamer but the difference is she’s not afraid to take those big dreams of hers and turn them into an amazing reality. Making the leap from child start to adult actor was no mean feat either, as we know many don’t make the cut. But Demi is such a great example of living out your dreams and not letting anything stand in your way.

Time to Discover Your Path to Purpose

Let me introduce you to ELEVATE, my simplified strategy that will help you to streamline and scale in a way that is aligned with your purpose

Evaluate

Take a deep dive into your business and start to evaluate what is working and what’s not. Start with the services you’re offering. Are they serving you as much as your clients? Are they profitable and scalable? Do you have the right processes and systems in place to deliver a top-notch client experience? Is the work you’re doing truly aligned with who you are and the goals you have for yourself, your family, and your clients?

Leverage

Look at your personal strengths and weaknesses and think of ways to leverage the things you’re good at. The things that only you can do and the things you love to do. How can you turn those strengths into your strategic secret weapon? And then get support from others to do the rest.

Educate

Take the time to educate yourself on the things you uncovered in step one. Do some research. Check out what others are doing in your industry or even surrounding industries. Are you being a trend-setter or a trend-follower? What can you do to make positive change and bridge those gaps for your clients? Start to map out the steps you need to take in order to make those changes. And don’t forget, small steps are better than big insurmountable ones. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your business.

Validate

Now bring in an expert to validate your ideas and the changes you want to make because sometimes you just need another eye or listening hear to help you on your path. Let them take an in-depth look at your business and prescribe actionable solutions that will help you move the needle forward. Remember your clients deserve to experience a business that is not just functional, but organized, fine-tuned, and sustainable and so do you!

Assign

Don’t be afraid to offload the things that you’re not good at, remember, we want to leverage those strengths. So, let’s get those things you don’t love and that take up unnecessary time off your plate. Assign these tasks to the folks that will undoubtedly do them faster (and oftentimes better) than you saving you money in the long run. There’s a reason we pay an accountant to do our bookkeeping, amiright?

Train

Be prepared to train your new and existing team members. Pack your patience here, because now is the time to document all of your processes so you’ll have them out of your head and readily available to your team so they can be there to support you. You may even need to invest in their continued education so they can fully embrace their role and take ownership of what they’re doing. A nurtured team is a loyal team.

Empower

Give your team the freedom they need to do a wonderful job for you. Empower them to own their role, bring ideas to you, and develop their own systems and strategies. Let them help you to make your business perform like a well-oiled machine which will empower you to be the best at what you do

WHO’S DISHING OUT ALL THIS ADVICE ANYWAY?

Hey there! I’m LaToya Williamson, Chief of Staff & Operations (some call me “Sunshine” and others call me the “CEO Whisperer”)

Latoya Williamson online business manager

After 20 years in the corporate world working as an executive assistant I woke up one morning to no job. Yep that’s right, after ten long years with a very well known beverage/consumer goods company, I’d been laid off.

So what next? I wasn’t quite ready to launch my business, although I knew this was what I wanted eventually. So instead I got another job working for a CEO, who unfortunately didn’t value my skills or knowledge and treated me like a low level assistant.

And it was then that it hit me. I could NO LONGER work for anyone else but myself. I wanted to be seen, heard and valued by people who needed my help, guidance and experience. So I built my business based on what I knew people like me wanted, not just a business/project manager and mentor, but a friend and partner they could turn to for support, laughs, and tough love.
And do you know what, it worked. Past clients have often told me that when faced with a tough decision they find themselves asking “What would LaToya do?” That to me is one of the highest compliments anyone could give me.

So now you know something about me, let’s get back to you. How can I help you?
If you let me, I’ll be your biggest advocate. But you have to be willing and ready to become the best version of yourself. But the cool thing is that you’ve already taken the first step, which was taking this quiz!
Are you ready for the next step? I sure hope so because I’m ready to help you take it.
